IB Primary Years Programme     As an IB-authorized school offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Rand Schools for Education is proud to be part of a global community of institutions dedicated to nurturing curious, knowledgeable, and caring young individuals. Our commitment to the PYP empowers students to develop the skills and mindset necessary to navigate their futures successfully, while making meaningful contributions to creating a more harmonious and peaceful world.

Our PYP curriculum is designed to provide a holistic and child-centered approach to learning. Students explore transdisciplinary themes that connect academic subjects with real-world issues, ensuring that learning is rich, meaningful and relevant. Through inquiry, students develop critical thinking skills, cultivate creativity, and gain the ability to solve problems independently and collaboratively.

Key elements of PYP learning at our school include:

  • Inquiry-Based Learning: Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore concepts, and actively seek solutions, leading to a deeper understanding of the world around them.
  • Transdisciplinary Approach: Subjects are taught in an interconnected way under six transdisciplinary themes, allowing students to see the links between different areas of knowledge and apply learning to real-life situations and solve problems to real-life issues and challenges.

Through our PYP curriculum, students at Rand are empowered to become lifelong learners, ready to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the future with confidence and creativity.

Learner Profile Attributes

At Rand, we believe in the power of the IB Learner Profile to shape our students into responsible, compassionate, and capable individuals. The Learner Profile Attributes foster our students helping them become not only strong academic learners but also thoughtful global citizens.

Instilling the Learner Profile Attributes in our learner community

By embracing these attributes, we prepare our students to be active, engaged learners who are ready to make meaningful contributions to the world.
