 ABOUT OUR JOURNEY

Rand Schools for Education has two sections: the International Section and the Al-Ahliya Section. Rand International Section comprises grades K-12 includes both boys and girls from grades K-9, while grades 10-12 are exclusively for girls. The Al-Ahliya Section comprises grades 1-6 girls only . Rand International School. Both sections are licensed by the Ministry of Education.

Rand Schools for Education was initially founded as Rand International School in 2006 in the city of Qatif. It started as a small kindergarten with 75 students, quickly growing to 140 in the second year. In 2011, Rand Al-Ahliya School was introduced to cater to families seeking an Arabic-focused curriculum. As demand for an international curriculum grew, the school relocated to a larger facility—a former commercial shopping center in Saihat—which was repurposed into a school complex. Extensive renovations and continuous investments have shaped the current campus.

Rand Schools have seen rapid growth in educational quality and learning environments, attracting a significant number of students from Qatif and Dammam. Initially, the International Section was a mixed-gender school with a majority of non-Saudis due to enrollment restrictions. However, since obtaining government authorization in 2012 to enroll Saudi students directly, primary school enrollment has transformed, with Saudis becoming the majority. A distinctive feature of Rand Schools is its strong leadership development. The institution prioritizes internal talent, allowing skilled teachers and staff to advance into management roles. This approach fosters leadership from within and ensures commitment to educational excellence.

Rand Schools hold accreditations from Cognia (AdvancED) and authorization for the IB Primary Years Programme (IB-PYP). These affiliations support continuous improvement in leadership capacity, curriculum integration, and intercultural understanding. In addition to our existing IB-PYP authorization, we are currently in the candidacy phase for the IB Middle Years Programme (IB-MYP), marking a significant step in expanding our commitment to internationally benchmarked education. Rand Schools emphasize self-learning, resource utilization, and collaborative learning, fostering the development of lifelong learning skills in both students and staff.

Additionally, Rand Schools aim to implement the full IB programme continuum, including the Career-related Programme (CP) and Diploma Programme (DP), further elevating the school’s academic offerings
